šŸŽ¶ Zamar & Lizmnk - Afro Blue (Jazz Standard Cover) | Live Music at Exceline Restaurant

Some songs carry history. Others carry mood. This one carries both.

As part of our Red Light Busking Festivity Series, we returned to the beautiful Exceline Restaurant — a hub of East African culture and cuisine in the heart of Waltham Forest — to bring more timeless jazz to the table.

This time, Zamar & Lizmnk took on ā€œAfro Blueā€ giving a new flavour to this jazz standard. Zamar’s upright bass lays the perfect foundation for Lizmnk’s velvet-smooth vocals — creating a performance that feels like a warm hug on a cold evening.

Filmed live at Exceline Restaurant — a beloved Ugandan and East African eatery run by Patrick and his mum, who bring soul to the space in every way. Thank you for sharing your world with us.

Part of the Red Light Busking Festivity Series – where we turn local shops into stages and shine light on culture, food, and soul through live music.

Tell us: what’s your favourite version of this jazz classic? How does this one compare?
